Who we are

This site is operated by Discovery Gardens Battery, a mobile car battery replacement service operating in Discovery Gardens, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

We keep the collection deliberately small — enough to reach your car and honour a warranty, and no more.

• Information you give us when you call or message: your name, phone number, the location of the car, and its make, model and year.
• Your WhatsApp phone number and the content of messages you send us, if you contact us that way. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and its own privacy terms apply to the message in transit.
• Job and warranty records: the battery fitted, its serial number, the date, the price paid and the location of the job. This is what lets us honour a warranty claim without asking you to produce a receipt.
• Payment is taken at the car by cash, card terminal or a buy-now-pay-later provider. We do not see or store full card numbers; the terminal operator and the provider handle those.
• Technical data collected automatically by this website: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that referred you, and the approximate city derived from your IP.
• If you allow it, your browser's precise location — used once, to show which of our vans is nearest. It is not stored on our servers.

Why we use it

• To dispatch a van to the right place and bring the right battery.
• To quote you, take payment, and issue a VAT invoice as required by UAE law.
• To honour warranties, which requires keeping the job record for the life of the warranty and a period after it.
• To measure how the site performs and which advertising brought a genuine enquiry, so we do not keep paying for advertising that does not work.
• To meet legal and tax obligations in the UAE.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags. These are supplied by Google LLC and they set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser.

• Google Analytics tells us how many people reached a page, which pages they read and roughly where they were. It is measurement, not identification — we do not use it to work out who you are.
• Google Ads conversion tracking records that a call or WhatsApp message followed a click on one of our ads. That is how we know an ad produced a real enquiry rather than a stray click.
• Google Ads remarketing may show you our ads on other sites after you have visited this one. If you would rather it did not, turn off ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Google's own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and by how Google uses data from sites that use its services, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Controlling cookies

Every browser can block or delete cookies, and blocking the analytics and advertising cookies above does not stop you using this site or booking a battery — the phone number, the WhatsApp link and every page work identically without them. The only cookies we would call strictly necessary are the ones that keep the site's language and layout consistent while you browse.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

• Google LLC, for the analytics and advertising described above.
• Our hosting provider, which processes web requests and server logs on our behalf.
• WhatsApp / Meta, where you have chosen to contact us that way.
• Payment terminal operators and buy-now-pay-later providers, for the transaction only.
• The licensed waste handler that takes the old battery — a job reference, never your contact details.
• Authorities, insurers or professional advisers where the law requires it or a legal claim makes it necessary.

International transfers

Google and our hosting provider process data on servers outside the UAE, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers publish, including standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 12 months.
• Job and warranty records: the warranty period plus 3 years, so a claim near the end of a 24-month warranty can still be checked.
• Invoices and tax records: as long as UAE tax law requires.
• Analytics data: retained on Google's default schedule for the property, currently 14 months.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent you have given. Write to hello@discoverygardensbattery.ae or call +971 50 623 0997 and we will respond within 30 days.

Deleting a job record ends the warranty attached to it, because the record IS the warranty. We will say so before acting on such a request rather than after.

Children

This service is for vehicle owners and drivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we have no reason to.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Job records are kept in access-controlled systems and are seen only by the people who dispatch vans and handle warranty claims. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected customers and the relevant authority about a breach that puts personal data at real risk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the new version is published here before it takes effect.
