Terms & conditions

The terms you accept when you book Discovery Gardens Battery to replace a car battery, and what our warranty does and does not cover.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Discovery Gardens Battery, a mobile car battery service operating in Discovery Gardens, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Registered address and trade licence number: [TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE LAUNCH]. Booking a job by phone, WhatsApp or through this site means you accept them.

2. What the service is

We attend the location you give us, test the vehicle's battery and charging system, and — where you agree to it — supply and fit a replacement battery and remove the old one for licensed recycling. We also jump start vehicles where a replacement is not needed.

We are not a recovery service, a workshop or a general mechanic. Where the fault is not the battery we will tell you what we found; any further work is between you and whoever you choose to do it.

3. Quotes and prices

  • Prices depend on the size and type of battery your vehicle takes, and we confirm the exact price with you before we dispatch a van. The figure quoted to you on the phone or on WhatsApp includes the battery, delivery, fitting, the load test and disposal of the old unit.
  • That quote is what you pay. If the vehicle turns out to need a different battery than described — a different size, or AGM where a flooded unit was assumed — we tell you the new price before doing any work, and you are free to decline.
  • There is no call-out fee, no night surcharge and no weekend surcharge.
  • All prices are in UAE dirhams and include VAT. A VAT invoice is issued for every job.
  • Prices shown on this site are current at the time of publication and may change; the price quoted to you at the time of booking is the one that binds us.

4. Arrival times

Arrival times quoted on this site and on the phone are honest estimates based on where our vans are, not guarantees. 20–30 minutes is a typical average in Discovery Gardens; nearby areas take longer, and traffic, weather, road closures and access restrictions at your location can extend it. We will tell you if we are going to be late.

We cannot reach a vehicle we are not able to legally and safely access. Where a building's security, a locked compound or a car park's height restriction prevents access, we will work with you to find an alternative, but the visit may not be possible.

5. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion, at the vehicle, by cash, card or an available buy-now-pay-later provider.
  • Buy-now-pay-later instalments are a contract between you and that provider, on their terms. We are paid in full at the time of the job and take no part in the instalment arrangement.
  • Title in the battery passes to you on payment in full.

6. The old battery

Unless you tell us otherwise at the time, the battery we remove becomes ours and is taken away for recycling through a licensed handler. Lead-acid batteries are hazardous waste and may not be put in general refuse. If you want to keep the old battery, say so before we start and it stays with you.

7. Warranty

Batteries carry the manufacturer's warranty for the period stated at the time of sale — up to 24 months on premium brands, less on value ranges. The warranty is registered against the vehicle and your phone number at the time of fitting, and covers manufacturing defect and a failure to hold charge under normal use.

  • It does not cover a battery discharged by a fault elsewhere in the vehicle — a failing alternator, a parasitic drain, or lights left on.
  • It does not cover physical damage, immersion, reversed polarity connection, or a battery removed and refitted by someone else.
  • It does not cover a battery used outside its rating, for example to run equipment the vehicle was not built for.
  • A warranty claim is settled by testing the battery. Where it is defective it is replaced; there is no cash alternative, and the replacement carries the remainder of the original warranty term, not a new one.
  • Consequential loss — a missed flight, a towing charge, a day's lost work — is not covered.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel a callout at any time before the technician arrives and there is nothing to pay. Once the technician is at the vehicle and has carried out the test, you are free to decline the battery; the test itself is still free.

Once a battery has been fitted the sale is complete. A battery that has been installed cannot be returned for a refund unless it is defective, in which case the warranty above applies.

9. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information about the vehicle and its location.
  • Be the owner of the vehicle, or authorised by the owner to have work done on it.
  • Make sure the vehicle can be safely reached and worked on, and tell us about anything at the location we should know — a low ceiling, a steep ramp, an aftermarket alarm or an isolator switch.
  • Tell us before we start about any modification to the vehicle's electrical system.

10. Liability

We carry insurance and we are liable for damage we cause to your vehicle through our own negligence. Tell us on the day, so it can be inspected while the facts are fresh.

We are not liable for pre-existing faults revealed by the work, for loss of stored settings in the vehicle's electronics where a memory saver could not be used, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. This website

The content of this site is for information. Battery fitments, prices, arrival times and stock are indicative and confirmed when you call. We may change any of it without notice.

The site's text, layout and artwork belong to Discovery Gardens Battery. Manufacturer names and logos belong to their owners and appear here to identify the products we fit and the vehicles we work on; their use does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

12. Complaints

Call +971 50 623 0997 or email hello@discoverygardensbattery.ae. We aim to respond within two working days. If we cannot resolve it, UAE consumer protection channels remain open to you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here when you book is the version that applies to that job.
